Super Mirror, No. 8 Stainless Steel Sheet
Super Mirror is a high gloss, polished finish, having a high degree of reflectiveness which can be done by 2B and BA finishes, also called No.8 or non-directional finish. It is produced by finer abrasives, and finishing with extremely fine buffing compounds. Mellow Super 8K surface is blemish free and has perfect reflective quality.
We produce Super Mirror by chemical wet polish way which is different from dry polish as dry polish can achieve only No.7 finish, which is brighter than BA but directional lines on the surface are still visible. Our chemical wet polish process provides non-directional super mirror finish which is completely reflective without any line marks.
Stainless steel Super Mirror finish is easily fabricated but is not easily shattered like glass mirror. It is widely used in food preparation, ceiling and high pedestrian areas. Because of its uniform consistency and high reflectivity, it is also an excellent choice for panel to panel matching, which is suitable for architectural and decorative applications such as wall panels, kitchen equipments and artistic objects.
Hairline Finish / No. 4 finish Stainless Steel Sheet
Hairline is obtained by endless grinding lines which are extended uniformly along with the length of the surface.
It is a well-defined directional finish with long and fine lines. It is widely used in architectural applications.
A No. 4 finish is sometimes called the workhorse finish, as it is easy to maintain in high-traffic areas such as handrails, kitchen equipment, stainless steel sinks, bus shelters, elevator doors, and work surfaces.
Stainless steel with a No. 4 finish is attained by mechanically polishing the metal with fine abrasives belts to remove minimal amounts of metal from the surface.
The resulting appearance has short, parallel lines for a linear effect. No. 4 finished stainless steel will appear different from manufacturer to manufacturer due to different belts and grit sizes, which usually range from 120 to 320 grit, depending on the project requirements.
The higher the grit, the finer the lines and the more reflective the surface will be. No. 4 finished stainless steel has a little more finish than stainless steel with a 2B finish.
